Welcome to Lighthouse
Lighthouse opened February 2019 in response to local entrepreneurs realizing that the Mississippi Gulf Coast needed better living options for senior adults. Not only did they identify the need, but they acted on it in a remarkable way. Through their determination and expertise, Lighthouse Assisted Living and Memory Care was established. We are a unique, high-quality care environment with a resident-centered approach committed to treating everyone with love, dignity, and grace
Lighthouse is focused on providing long-term care for seniors from Assisted Living to those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or another form of Dementia requiring a secure memory care setting.
The most important feature that sets us apart from other senior living communities is that we are locally owned and operated. Our owners are genuinely engaged in our mission and the decisions concerning the needs of our residents.
The first chapter in our story is community involvement; we realize that this is crucial to the health and well-being of our seniors. Residents are encouraged to stay connected to the community, and we proudly serve as a resource and support system for families and caregivers seeking guidance during the transition into senior living.
The second chapter is our valued employees. We have the highest expectations of and for our employees and make sure they always understand the “why” behind what we do. We listen to every member of our staff and quickly address their concerns. We are dedicated to our employees being successful, both as professional caregivers and in their personal lives.
As we moved through our first year; we began to realize the need to create specialized memory care for different levels of functioning. We designed and opened Memory Care II.
The owners became proactive and decided home-style cottages would be in the best interest of meeting the needs of our memory care residents now and in the future. A unique neighborhood of six cottages is now nearing completion. They will offer an innovative design that de-institutionalizes senior living for those with memory impairment.
As our story continues, we are blessed to be providing an outstanding level of care to the residents that call Lighthouse “home”.
